Humble Leadership

Hannah Hagenau is a pillar within the Mount Vernon community, at just 18 years old. As a member of the Class of 2019, this mustang has traveled the world, leaving goodness in her wake.

Also a member of Colt Club – a group of graduating seniors who began at the School in Kindergarten or earlier – Hannah has been at Mount Vernon throughout her formative years. She has made quite an impact by quietly taking on leadership roles, year after year.

In the summers, she works at the YMCA’s Camp High Harbour/Allatoona as a camp counselor. On Sundays, she can be found worshipping and serving at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church where she was recently appointed an elder.

Additionally, Hannah led an effort to put 22 students through high school in Zambia, Africa, by raising more than $5,000 in one year.

As a result of her humble nature, willingness to serve and natural leadership, Hannah was voted one of Atlanta’s 20 Under 20, and was featured in Atlanta INtown magazine
